Ashampoo Uninstaller 5 brings some new features for uninstalling/installing products. With Ashampoo Uninstaller 5 you can completely remove applications and any leftovers it has left behind, Ashampoo also includes ways to monitor installations so you are able to know where files were installed.


Installation is normal with language selection, welcome, express or custom install with location selection, and install. When you open up Ashampoo Uninstaller 5 you’ll come with main interface which it’s easy to move around.



Ashampoo Uninstaller 5 interface starts you up with 4 icons where you can choose to uninstall, install, tools or monitoring installations. At the top you also get tabs where you can select some options where the first tab is the overview which is main interface, installations, log files and tools. The bottom section is where you can import log files and see recent installations.


The uninstall section lets you see what programs you have installed and if you want to uninstall a program. After finding the program you want to uninstall you will come up with a selection if in case it has other ways to uninstall or no way to uninstall and want to just remove what is there which for that you will have to keep the find leftovers checked. The finding leftovers scans quick which will show you if something was leftover and after deleting any leftovers you can see what was done through the uninstallations and how many files was deleted.


Ashampoo Uninstaller 5 includes installation monitoring which can be set up to monitor in background if needed and to start with windows if in case and installation needs restart to install. When monitoring you are able to see where files where installed and what has changed if something changed.


The tools brings some 12 modules which helps you maintain computer which comes with drive cleaner, registry optimizer, internet cleaner and defragment on it’s system maintenance. The administration lets you mange service manager, startup tuner, font manager, and system restore manger. The file tools lets you wipe files and folders permanently, also if you accidentally erased something through the recycle bin you have the undeleter, a link checker for invalid shortcuts and duplicate finder. The general where you can manage the backup and settings. The settings you can manage settings for each tool mentioned including basic functions where backups will be placed, skin selection, what filenames to monitor installations, etc. The windows tools lets you see the system information, action center and group policies. On the main tab or any tab you can click on main menu where you can see all the tools mentioned above which if in case you want a faster look.


Thoughts and Conclusion

            Ashampoo Uninstaller 5 is a good uninstaller with some extra features which comes in handy one maintaining your computer running good. It cleans out leftovers left from removed programs and monitors installations from programs. The extra tools helps maintain your computer and comes in handy when trying to permanently delete a file or recover a file that was accidentally deleted through the recycle bin.
