TuneUp Utilities 2014 brought some new improvements that makes it an improved update from 2013. TuneUp Utilities 2014 starts up and runs smoother and new interface has a cleaner look.

Added some new tools that should make this an all-in-one utility for your PC, some of the new tools are duplicate finder, flight mode and improvements to included tools.

TuneUp Utilities 2014 starts up quicker and uses less resources when not running which brings much better and easier use. After installation the 1-Click maintenance starts and analyzes your computer usually taking a minute or two.

TuneUp Utilities 2014 interface got an improved change from 2013 making it look a lot smoother and easier for first users to use. When first started up you start in the dashboard which gives you the quick optimizations you can do. If you need to get into the more inner of TuneUp Utilities 2014, you can click on the tabs on top.

The optimize tab lets you disable programs, uninstall programs, clean registry, optimize system startup and shutdown and many more options. The Clean Up tab adds some new features from 2013. The Duplicate files finder which now lets you quickly find duplicate files and remove them if they are completely same. Finding duplicates might take time depending on how much you have in your hard drive but finds almost every duplicate that there could be and shows them in a nice list.

The clean-up has also been improved with quicker scans and just takes a few minutes to find what needs to be cleaned. The Fix problems tab lets you check for common problems, check for hard disk errors, and restore deleted files. The restore takes just a few minutes and lets you find almost any deleted files from any drive connected which works quite good. Plus lets you manage processes.

The personalize tab lets you customize the options and behaviors of windows or personalize the appearance of windows with some recommended actions.

The All Functions tab gives you access to every tools that TuneUp Utilities 2014 provides with settings to the tools you can modify. This will let you see each section for each tool and configure or take action.

The performance of boot times before using the 1-click maintenance is about 65 seconds while after running the 1-click maintenance timed about 54 seconds. Also the improvements on using TuneUp Utilities 2014 also improved where they don’t take too long to open up and do the action like cleaning up space, maintaining computer and pc health. The Flight Mode which is a new feature for TuneUp Utilities 2014 adds ways to manage battery life on your computer which turns off unneeded programs or resources. The flight mode would turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to comply with airline regulations and limit some use on non-needed programs which would let you use computer longer.

Thoughts and Conclusion
TuneUp Utilities 2014 did some great improvements and does make it worth to get. There might be free tools for but TuneUp Utilities 2014 helps out in maintaining your computer in top notch and keeping it clean and recommending tweaks to help your computer performance and health. It improved its use and now runs a lot better than before which making it a program that you don’t need to worry of it running in background.
